Dating corcoran jump boots to know if they are original or reproduction. I have seen some photos of originals and they look OK compared to originals, but there are some questions that I do have. The next question is the inner tag.
There is no indication that one was ever there. There is also some manufacturing information printed on the leather on the inside but it reveals "Dating corcoran jump boots" date nor size.
The next question is on the inner lip around the top of the boot there is a 9D and some other numbers. There are 12 eyelets and the laces are leather rawhide, which according to my very little information are both correct indicators for jump boots. If not WW2 era, is it safe to say these were used in the Korean era?
If you all could provide some feedback, I would appreciate it. These will be going up for sale but I would like to know if they are reproduction or not before I put a price on them. Thanks again Dating corcoran jump boots and I look forward to your opinions. I am taking a professional development course at work, so I may not be able to respond to questions or provide feedback right away.

Looks synthetic man made to me by the pictures. Corcorans I have and have handled from Dating corcoran jump boots 40s and 50s have a leather welt. Even the black Nam era ones do also.
This is the portion between the half sole and beveled heel. The welt does "Dating corcoran jump boots" man made, I think. These also appear to be unworn, if they were worn, very little. There is a stock number printed in white on the top band inside. The first two digits are The pair shown may be some of the later repros they did.
They continued to make them and dropped the 88 number at some point. It looks like the section of sole
Dating corcoran jump boots the rubber half sole and the heel is not leather but rather a man made material.
If so then they are repros. There are made-for-reenactors jump-boots which are Corcoran look-alikes, but I doubt whether they are made to the same high standards.
The Corcorans, on the other hand, are made to the Dating corcoran jump boots spec as they were in WW2, allowing for the use of modern materials which weren't around then. So, that's what I meant by "modern production" as opposed to "repros" For the ww2 boots markings are stamped into the leather to mark corcoran David. Pic courtesy of "Patches".
It is very much appreciated. They were
Dating corcoran jump boots exactly like the production black boot except they were dyed brown rather than black. Got WAY more use out of the Corcorans than a stupid ring. Sign In Need an account? I've forgotten my password. Remember me This is not recommended for shared computers.
